WHAT IS THE TIME-OUT MINISTRY?

The purpose of the Time-Out Ministry is to help others find freedom from bondage through the power of the Lord Jesus Christ. The world has made a pastime (a way of life) out of counseling people. Worldly counselors suggest that it takes years of therapy to get answers. The world's remedy is a continuous, never-ending bunch of programs. As people become involved in these programs, they actually become interdependent upon them. Therefore, they are never, ever able to be truely set free. God's plan is not for man to be bound but for him to be free indeed! We do not engage in a lengthy counseling regime. Our outreach is set up for a period of seventy-two hours (a short time-out). God has a recovery plan that can result in complete freedom. We adhere to the Scriptures: "Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety." "Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established." Provers 11:14 and 15:22 This is what the Time-Out Ministry undertakes to do. Through God's grace, and through the administration of the local church, this ministry provides a godly group of counselors for those seeking deliverance from life dominating bondage.

As mortal beings, we are not always conscious of the nature of our problems. Sometimes it is necessary to have others help us boil down what our inner turmoil is. That is what the Time-Out Ministry does. With the Bible being used as the complete repair and recovery manual and three to four conselors to apply Scriptural principles from God's Word, we begin the boiling down process. Not only do we deal with the primary cause of the inner turmoil, which is easily seen, but we also address the root of the problem, the hidden thing in the soul that allows the problem to continue on.

Our counseling is provided in the beautiful, informal setting of the Dragoon Mountains, located in the East Cochise Stronghold of Pearce, Arizona. Motel rooms, meals and transportation to and from the airport or bus/train depot are provided. We operate on a donation basis. It currently costs our ministry a minimum of $200.00 to peovide these amenities. Our staff consists of born-again Bible believers who have experienced the power of God in their lives. They have sat where you now sit, and God has freed them from their bondage. They want others to discover God's message of restoration the way that they have. II Corinthians 1:3-4 "Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, THe Father of Mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble,...""

The Time-Out Ministry is designed to help people who are in life-dominating bondage. We work with and through the Pastor of your local church. Our goal is to identify your underlying struggle and then to return you back to your church for further counseling if so needed.
